About Nanjing Elementary and Secondary School Teachers E-teaching Competition 2017

According to the Announcement by National Center for Educational Technology about the 21st National Electronic Education Competition（No. 201, 2016）, we are now going to held Nanjing Elementary and Secondary School Teachers E-teaching Competition 2017 .
Ⅰ. Time and place
Time: July 2, 2017
Place: Nanjing School for the Deaf (No. 32, Yudao Street)
Elementary and secondary school teachers,and education technology workers of the city
The participants are divided into 2 groups, basic education group and secondary vocational group. Specific items of each group are as follows:
A. basic education group:
a.Preschool education: courseware, teaching case, micro-class video
b.Primary school education: courseware, teaching case, micro-class video, teacher’s cyberspace
c.Special education: courseware, teaching case, micro-class video

Ⅴ. How to join in the competition and the number of entries
A.The educational technology center of each district is supposed to organize the event and recommend and submit entries. The schools directly affiliated to the city submit entries to the city education technology center.
a.the number of entries for each district:
basic education group： no more than 6 for preschools, 20 for elementary and secondary schools, 6 for special education schools,
secondary vocational education group: no more than 6.
b. the number of entries for each school directly affiliated to the city: no more than 5
Ⅵ. Requirements of entry submission
The event will be evaluated on the Administrative System of Nanjing Elementary and Secondary School Teachers E-teaching Competition (http://py.nje.cn). The educational technology center of each district and the school directly affiliated to the city, please submit your entries and the related forms and attachment 1 and 2 to the educational technology center of the city through the competition administrative system before June 20.
Due to the set of the system, the filename of each entry must be the same with the names of the documents in attachment 1 and 2. The information in the forms must be as detailed and accurate as possible, especially the personal information of the teacher.
A.A teaching case refers to a class teaching example of how a teacher makes use of the information technology and education resources to solve the problems in teaching. It means to take information technology and education resources as content and methods to train the students in their creativity and practical abilities and to promote the optimize the teaching process, for instance, on-line self-study, cooperative learning, explorative study, projects operation, one-to-one study, study by mobile terminals and creative writing teaching, ect.
Requirements: the video of the class should be finished according to the teaching design, with subtitles of tips in the body parts. The video should be in regular format. If it is too long, only a few crucial parts will be needed. Besides, the teaching design, resources, teaching evaluation and reflection should be submitted along with the video. The whole package should not exceed 700 MB.
The length of each class is a standard class hour.
B.A courseware is software to effectively present the specific teaching content, activities and methods in accordance with the teaching design based on internet and computer technologies, so as to facilitate teaching and learning and accomplish teaching tasks and objectives. It could be about particular knowledge points, the content of a class hour or a unit. There is no limit to the tool of making the courseware or the way of presenting the courseware. Entries of mobile terminals should be able to work on mobile teaching equipment such as I Pad or Android Pad. Software which helps teaching, self-study, teaching evaluation or simulation experiment is welcome.
Requirements: visual, audio or cartoon documents should be in regular format, and the whole package should be not more than 700 MB.
C.Teacher’s cyberspace refers to the carrier of the teacher’s on-line teaching activities. The entry should be mainly to show how the teacher use cyberspace to prepare class, do research, interact with parents or students, or give instructions or evaluations ect.
Requirements: please submit PPTs with words, pictures, audio or video materials to display the daily application and effect of the teacher’s cyberspace. Meanwhile, please provide the information on how to use the cyberspace, including the website address, temporary account and password for the competition and user guide as well.
D.Micro-class video is a video course of the teacher explaining knowledge points, main difficult teaching points, solving typical problems or presenting experiment process, recorded and edited with the use of shooting equipments or screen cap. The video could be the process of a teacher standing there teaching, or it could be a teaching with the use of PPT, the board, drawing software, or electronic white board.
Requirements： The entry should be a single video document of good quality. The teaching should have clear objectives, highlighted theme and complete content. The title of the film should be 5 minutes, blue, white characters in regular script, displaying the version of the textbook, subject, stage of study, grade and semester, name of the class, the teacher’s name and the school he or she is in. The video should be main stream media format such as flv, mp4 or wmv, supporting online playing, resolution ratio at least 640×480, length no more than 10 minutes, 100 MB. If there are instructions, assignments or related resources, please submit with the video.

Ⅷ. Evaluation of the entry’s qualification
The entry with political problems or errors will be disqualified. Cheating will not be tolerated in the competition and will lead to disqualification of the entry or prize.
Ⅸ. About making the entry
The source of reference should be provided. If there is any issue about copyright, the author of the entry should take full responsibility.
Each teaching case, micro-class video, courseware or cyberspace could have 3 authors at most.
Each open quality course can have 5 authors at most.
The entry in the name of any group will not be accepted.
Ⅹ. Evaluation method and establishment of prizes
A. Evaluation method: technical test and interview
a.Technical test includes qualification evaluation, entry installation and running test. The entries that pass technical test will be handed to experts.
b.Interview means to invite a group of teaching experts, education technology workers and backbone teachers to evaluate the entries and determine which one gets which prize. Interview is necessary except for the teaching cases. The interview is divided into 2 parts, introduction of the entry and defense.
B. Establishment of prizes: the 1st prize will be given to 10% of the entries; the 2nd prize will be given to 20% of the entries, and the 3rd prize to 30% of the entries. There will also be 5 organization award winners, which will be decided by the performance of each district, the importance of 1st prize, 2nd prize and 3rd prize is like 30：20：10. Some of the best entries will be recommended to participate in the provincial competition.
