Autumn is high, with sweet Osmanthus fragrance. On the afternoon of October 16, the Nanjing Foreign Language School was poetic. After a series of selections, the contestants who will represent Nanjing to participate in the Jiangsu competition area of "China Poetry conference" of CCTV gathered at the small theater of Nanjing Foreign Languages School for the pre-competition training. Entrusted by the language engineering office of Nanjing Education Bureau, the Chinese group and history group of our school jointly organized this activity.

First of all, Kong Weiling,a teacher from the Chinese language group, combined with her experience of leading the team to "the First Dictation Conference of Chinese Characters" of CCTV, explained the key points of the competition according to the three sessions of the provincial competition, and put forward the requirements for the preparation of the competition: In the self- introduction session, the introduction should be concise and distinctive. In the Flying Flower session, they should expand their poetry reserves before the competition, and they should be flexible at the scene. In the session of question and answer, they should actively prepare and calmly respond. In addition, no matter how the performances are, they should not be surprised in the face of interviews, but also maintain our original love of poetry after the game.

Then, Zhou Yuanyuan,a teacher from the history group provided professional and targeted guidance for the contestants on details such as the competition dress, courtesy and etiquette, speed and intonations. Teacher Zhou Yuanyuan, as a senior instructor of our school model union, has rich experience in competition. After the contestant introduced himself or herself, she made a direct comment, which benefited the contestant a lot.

"China Poetry Conference" is a cultural TV program launched by the National Language Working Committee and the Central Radio and Television Station. With the purpose of "appreciating Chinese poetry, searching for cultural genes and appreciating the beauty of life", we strive to drive the whole people to review ancient poetry, share the beauty of poetry and feel the interest of poetry through the accumulation of competing poems.

Nanjing Foreign Languages School takes it as its duty to "cultivate modern people with the Chinese soul and the world mind" and has always attached importance to cultivating students 'traditional cultural literacy. Our school has represented Jiangsu Province in the first CCTV "Chinese Character Dictation Conference". Wang Xiaoyi and other students were popular with fans in the country with a solid knowledge base and generous on-the-spot performance. Our school participated in all the "Chinese Week" activities organized by the Nanjing Teaching and Research Office. All of them achieved remarkable results and many people won special prizes many times. At this poetry conference, Yu Miaochun from Class 7, Junior 2 and Li Chengyang from Class 4, Senior 2 stood out. They will soon represent Nanjing in the battle. Thanks to the Chinese teachers who prepared for the competition. Thanks for their attentive guidance.

I wish the contestants the best in the selection of Jiangsu Division!
