the 33rd Annual Academic Conference Sub (Micro) Forum of the Chinese Society of Education

On December 6, the First China Basic Education Forum and the 33rd Annual Academic Conference Sub (Micro) Forum of the Chinese Society of Education were successfully held in our school. Nearly 300 experts, scholars, principals and teachers from the national basic education sectors attended the conference, and more than 1.7 million people watched the conference remotely through the online live broadcast platform.

On behalf of Nanjing Foreign Language School, Principal Zou Zheng extended a warm welcome to the experts and colleagues.

In his speech, Principal Zou said that under the guidance of the idea of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind and the innovation driven development strategy, and in the face of the demand for global governance and innovative talents in the new era, NFLS has taken the cultivation of talents with international competitiveness as its own responsibility and actively explored the cultivation path of innovative talents with global competence. NFLS's educational ideal is: all-round development, free growth, the pursuit of the unity of individual value and social value of education, so that every student can become the best of himself and make due contribution to the country and mankind. At the same time, Principal Zou shared the harvest of his exchange with excellent alumni of NFLS on the topic of "cultivating global competent innovative talents in the stage of basic education": attitude is very important. The attitude towards knowledge and life, attitude towards oneself, and attitude towards the motherland and the world should be the most important thing for basic education.

In the Sub Forum

In the morning sub forum, experts and scholars sorted out the development and connotation of "global competency" in the west, analyzed the theoretical thinking and practical possibility of "global competency" in China based on China's own history and culture, as well as China's development mission and value orientation. In the form of theme report and round table forum, the forum invited University researchers, decision makers of education administration departments, front-line principals and teachers of public and international schools to combine theory with practice to explore the theoretical framework and practical possibility of "global competency" based on China's position.

In the context of constructing "high quality education system" and promoting the reform of education mode, where is the way of school reform?

In the afternoon, the micro forum focused on the concept and path of overall school reform, showed the research results and practical experience of Sichuan Province in promoting "high quality school construction", and invited the main promoters and initiators of the reform experiment of "new basic education" and "new model school" to discuss the unique thinking and common pursuit of school reform.

The micro forum invited experts such as Song Naiqing, Cheng Shangrong, Chu Hongqi, Chen Ruping, Li Zhengtao, Sha Peining, Wang Lei, Yan Ying and other experts to analyze problems, explain views and provide strategies from different perspectives.

In the dialogue of the three reform experiments, we can also see the effective experience and future hope of education development and school reform under the background of China's modernization.

Experts encouraged schools to work together, pursue endogenous cultural self-confidence, pursue self-conscious educational realm, fully display the spirit of the times, establish "good schools" with "good reform", realize "good education", meet the needs of people's good life, and contribute to the national rejuvenation and national rise with a larger pattern and higher grade.
