NFLS Alumna Ren Yi WasAwarded
With the approaching of autumn, the green trees alongthe Seine River were beginning turning red, golden, and yellow. At dusk, withthe cast of blue lights and white lights near the Eiffel Tower, downtown Pariswas colorfully and beautifully decorated.
On the night of October 23rd, a littlechilly by the autumn wind though, the auditorium in Louis Liard University wasfilled with warmth. Here the 2009 CEDIMES Academic Research Award Ceremony washeld. Ren Yi, who graduated from French Class, NFLS in 2000, won the 3rdPrize, she was the only Chinese among the winners.
CEDIMES was founded in Paris in 1972, it aims togather academic elites in the fields of economics and academics to discussissues of global economic social development. It is a member of the World BankDevelopment & Research Association. CEDIMES has 33 branches in 33countries, including China, throughout five continents.
The Academic Award is granted together by CEDIMES and entrepreneurrepresentatives ( Bank of Paris, TOTAL, etc), it’s purpose is to recognize andpraise young researchers in the study of development issues. InternationalJudge Team is made up of experts from every research institute. Every year, theTeam selects the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rdPrizes, one winner for each prize.
Ren Yi came to France to continue her furthereducation right after she graduated from NFLS. She acquired Master degree inEconomics in Universite Paris I, Master degree in Developing Economics inFrance Sociological Science Academy, now Ren Yi is junior PH. D in FranceSociological Science Academy. Her research area is “ the Role of Government inthe Local Economic Development during Transitional Period”.
We are very proud of Ren Yi’s success, and we wishmore and more alumni from NFLS would contribute more in the international stage.
